I fell in love with the samples of the cards on the Altenew site and had to add this to my collection...I've ordered so many stamps and dies that I haven't had time to use them yet.
The stamps layer nicely and make a lovely flower. The alignment for the smaller stamps is a little tricky, but the result is very pretty. Dies cut cleanly and give you more options for your make.
My first card using this set. I'm very happy with how it came out. The leaves were so easy to make and really add a lot. The sentiments are great. The first flowers I made were purple. I like the pink much better. Unlike the big flower, the smaller flower is easy to line up. I used yellow distress ink this time for the centers, and gold pigment ink on top of the yellow for the little dots. That worked much better than my first attempt using plain dye based ink pads. For the leaves, I used the small Altenew crisp dye ink pads: frayed leaf, forest glades, and shadow creek. They worked great together. The smaller flower used Altenew: frosty pink, coral berry, and ruby red. I was very disappointed that the "You" stamps did not line up with the dies.
This set is a year round favorite of mine! Love how easy the layered stamps create beauty!
Made some lovely violets. It was difficult to line up the layers of the round-flower stamps. I made little marks with a pen on the side of each, which helped a lot. I thought I had enough shades of purple, but my fourth layer was barely visible. It came out alright though. The die cut great. Glad I got this set.
