Japanese Camellias are a flowering evergreen shrub species, native to Japan. They are also a popular ornamental plant in many parts of the world.

Japanese Camellia Layering Die

I LOVE this keyhole system and I hope Altenew's collection of these innovations only increases. The keyhole system takes all of the angst out of assembling multiple small parts, saves time in trying to figure out the correct order and positioning, and gives you perfectly beautiful results. I will definitely be buying more sets as funds allow.
My one and only problem with the Japanese Camellia set is that the stamen and the two layers beneath the stamen for the smaller flower do not align. The three pieces for the larger flower aligned and layered perfectly and I was expecting the same results for the smaller flower. I used the same coloring choices as are on the packaging, so it was the yellow layer that extended all the way around the stamen die cut on the smaller flower. It looked sloppy, so I re-cut the pieces for the larger flower stamen set and used those.
Knowing me, it's very likely that I have done something silly. But if not, I thought you should know . . . thanks for listening.

Camellia Layering Die Set

This is a particularly nice Die set. Using the keyholes in the die cuts make it so much easier to correctly align the pieces. I’ve been practicing using my Stampwheel to color the pieces. I leave the cuts in the piece I cut from because I can’t bear to color the sticky pad! It works just fine.

Great system, beautiful flowers

The key hole system is amazing! I appreciate how the 2 different sets of flowers have a different key hole shape to make it easy to know which set goes with which flower. The flowers came out looking great even for a beginner like me.

Pretty Flower Die

This die makes such beautiful flowers with just a little ink blending in the center. I recommend it for A2 cards, a couple of flowers fill them nicely.
