Build-A-Flower: Dahlia includes 1 6x8 stamp set (19 stamp images) and 1 coordinating die set (5 dies).

This Build-A-Flower set features two beautiful Dahlia flowers drawn in a loose painted style. Each flower has four layers; an outline layer, and three coloring layers. None of the coloring layers completely cover the entire flower, which leaves beautiful white highlights. We have included three sets of color layering leaves which are perfect for making various floral arrangements. The set also has three endearing sentiments perfect for projects for your loved ones.

Dahlia

Gorgeous. I still need practice but I’m thrilled with the images.

Pretty

I found it made pretty flowers, but the layering was a bit difficult to match up. I will practice more with it. Some of the other flower kits were
easier.

beautiful as always

Altenew has a gift for layered flower sets. The attention to detail is evident and the dahlia is no exception. As usual, I found a bit of a learning curve in getting things lined up correctly but also as usual, I made a template once I got it right so that it is easy to repeat. Thank you, Jennifer McGuire, for that technique. However, the leaves in this set were extra easy to align and there were 3 different leaves, a bonus since a couple of the sets I have only have one leaf. I like that there were 2 sizes of flower and the dahlia will give a more casual look to a floral card, compared to peonies or lilies. I like that possibility.
The sentiments were challenging. The type is small, which I really like, but so small that the ink clumps on the stamp and none of my four standard black inks stamped cleanly. I was more successful with dye inks in dark colors, but I think embossing would be very difficult. All in all, an excellent stamp set that fits my person style and will get a lot of use.
