What Is World Kindness Day?

World Kindness Day is an international holiday that aims to promote kindness worldwide. This special day is celebrated on the 13th of November every year as part of the World Kindness Movement and is observed in many countries such as the United States, Australia, Canada, Japan, and U.A.E. World Kindness Day gives us a chance to celebrate acts of kindness in many forms - no matter how small it is.

November 13 is World Kindness Day. This annual event is the perfect day to be extra kind and show more compassion toward others.

Who Started World Kindness Day?

This day was introduced as part of the World Kindness Movement, which is a registered official NGO under Swiss Law. The inception of this organization dates back to a convention in Tokyo, Japan, back in 1997, where various associations from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Thailand were brought together by a common passion – their dedication to championing kindness in society.

What Is the Purpose of World Kindness Day?

The World Kindness Movement stated that the purpose of National World Kindness Day is “to highlight good deeds in the community focusing on the positive power and the common thread of kindness, which binds us.”

How to Celebrate World Kindness Day?

National World Kindness Day celebrates acts of kindness worldwide. You can celebrate this by doing something as selfless as opening a door for someone or giving up your bus seat for the elderly.
