Easy & Unique Holiday Card Idea with Non-Holiday Supplies!
Hello, everyone! It’s Aga here, and today I’d like to share a fun, unique holiday card made with non-holiday supplies. Is there anything better than being able to stretch the versatility of supplies that can be used year-round?
For today’s card, I didn’t use a single holiday product, and here’s what I came up with for this holiday season.
How to create a non-traditional, unique holiday card with non-holiday supplies
I started by die-cutting the leafy elements using the Stencil Art: Nature Splashes Add-On Die Set from Crafty Necessities: Reindeer Moss Cardstock. I then used a Mini Blending Brush (Flat Bristles) to apply Cloud White Pigment Ink to the leaves for a wintry feel. Next, I arranged the die cuts in the shape of a wreath and added some unexpected elements: oranges! While orange color may not traditionally be associated with Christmas, I love using dried oranges as decorations. There’s something beautiful and nostalgic about them!
I created the fruits using the Orange Blossom Die Set and die-cut all the elements from white cardstock. Next, I used orange markers from the Beach Garden Artist Alcohol Markers Set K and green markers from the Tropical Garden Artist Alcohol Markers Set E to color them in. For the sentiment, I used the Fine Alphabet Die Set. I wanted the word “JOY” to stand out, so I cut out all the letters from white cardstock three times and stacked them together. Then, I applied Sunlit Gold Glitter Tape to a piece of cardstock and cut out the letters for the last, fourth layer.
Finally, I used a panel of Crafty Necessities: Dark Night Cardstock as my background and arranged everything together.
I hope this card inspires you to try something different and out of the box this season, using your non-holiday supplies! Thank you for stopping by today!
