Autumn Florals Card

1. Choose Your Materials

Begin by gathering high-quality cardstock–in my case Moon Rock Cardstock from Altenew–in a dark grey shade as your base. Select copper embellishments, and pick out floral elements in a soft mauve palette and rust. You’ll also need adhesive, scissors, and any additional decorative pieces to personalize your card.

2. Design Your Layout

Plan the layout of the Eucalyptus Wreath Hot Foil Plate on your dark grey cardstock. Position the hot foil plate to frame the card's edges, creating a subtle yet striking border. In the center, arrange the mauve flowers to form a cohesive, balanced focal point.

3. Add Texture and Depth

Incorporate layers to add texture to your card. Use foam adhesive squares to lift some elements off the base, creating a three-dimensional effect. The eucalyptus wreath will add a touch of elegance and shimmer, while the soft mauve flowers will provide a gentle contrast against the dark background.

4. Personalize Your Message

Match your sentiment of choice–in my case the Scripty Sentiments Die Set–to the eucalyptus wreath metallic element. Keep it simple and heartfelt, ensuring it complements the overall aesthetic without overpowering the design.

5. Assemble Your Card

Carefully assemble your pieces on the dark grey cardstock. Start with the eucalyptus wreath, then add the mauve flowers, and finally, place your sentiment close to the center. Take your time to ensure everything is well-aligned and securely adhered.

6. Finishing Touches

For an extra touch of finesse, add a few drops of liquid pearls, small rhinestones, or metallic watercolor splatters around the floral arrangement. This will give your card a polished, professional look.

By focusing on a moody floral design with copper eucalyptus elements, a mauve & rust palette, and a dark grey background, your card will capture the elegance and depth of autumn. This timeless theme, combined with your creativity, will surely make a memorable impression.

Happy crafting!
