Creating a Fancy Card with Gold Embellishments and Cool Colors | Spark Joy: Ornamental Bouquet

Today, I'm sharing another card that showcases one of my all-time favorite color combinations with the Spark Joy: Ornamental Bouquet Set, enhanced with gold embellishments.

A Fancy Card with Gold Embellishments and an Elegant Color Combo

I started making the card by creating the main floral element — a beautiful floral bouquet using the Spark Joy: Ornamental Bouquet Set.

The bouquet outline was not foiled onto a Solar White Cardstock using the Spark Joy: Hot Foil Plate and Hot Foil Roll – Enchanted Gold.

After that, I colored it using the coordinating Spark Joy: Simple Coloring Stencil Set.

I opted for a purple + orange color combo to color the bouquet. As I mentioned above, it’s one of my favorite combos; these colors work great together!

For the purple part of said color palette, I used the Dried Petals Fresh Dye Ink Bundle to color the flower heads.

The Citronella and Green Gold Fresh Dye Inks were used to color the leaves.

The orange element was created using the Caramel Toffee Cardstock sheet from the Gradient Cardstock Set – Summer Afternoon, where the bouquet was mounted onto.

Adding Gold Embellishments and Accents

Since the ornamental bouquet element is gold-foiled, I had to add more gold elements to the card to balance it off.

First, I used the Gold String Washi Tape to make the background, by applying it to a Solar White Panel.

For the sentiment I used the Versatile Sentiment Die Set, die-cutting its part out of Solar White and Brushed Gold Metallic Cardstock.

I wrapped an Antique Gold Metallic Thread around the bouquet stem and secured it with a bow.

All the elements of the card were foam mounted using the Instant Dimension Foam Tape.

As the final gold touch, I added several Satin Gold Sequins to the card, placing them in a triangle pattern.

And there you have it: a fancy card design with an exquisite color combo and gold embellishments!
