My Top 10 Crafty Favorites for 2021 | Perfect Pairings with Jaycee + VIDEO!

Altenew Collections: Jaycee's Year-In-Review of Crafty Favorites

Hi there, Altenew friends. It's Jaycee! This year has been full of Altenew products that I will grab over and over again. In my video tutorial, I will focus on my Top 10 picks of the year and use them in three different cards. It was hard to narrow a year of crafty essentials to only 10 items!

Perfect Pairings with Jaycee

Opalescent Antique Rose

Altenew released two NEW ink sets this year: Jewel Tone and Frozen Delights Crisp Dye Inks. For my first card, I used my favorite layering die set, Craft-A-Flower: Antique Rose. I was so excited to find out that Altenew was releasing hot foil plates. I had to get a foil system of my own to use the Splatter Hot Foil Plate.

To anchor these two elements together, I used the Modern Hello Sentiment Stamp Set. I used the Frozen Delights color palette and opalescent foil for this bright and airy floral card.

Mid-Century Modern House Plant Scene

To contrast the bright and airy arrangement from earlier, I used the Jewel Tone Crisp Dye Ink Set. In the video above you will see why I find both ink sets to be my new crafty favorite. I made a mid-century modern wallpaper using the Shattered Cubes Builder Stencil.

As my foreground element, I stamped the Pots and Plants Stamp Set images onto watercolor paper. I used the ink from the Jewel Tone ink pads to watercolor the leaves of the die-cut images. I foam mounted my focal elements on the front of my geometric scene.

Honey, Bee Kind to Yourself

I used a very bright and romantic palette to complement the first card. I started with a dry-embossed panel using my favorite 3D embossing folder: Tree Bark 3D Embossing Folder. As my main foreground element, I used the Mini Delight: Bee Kind Stamp and Die Bundle to frame the subsequent flowers.

To make the flowers on the front of this card, I used my newest floral stamp favorite for 2021: Rose Tea Stamp and Die Bundle. I love the large and realistic blooms on this stamp set. Watercoloring these images works up as loose or as detailed as you would like. I have watercolored these blooms many times for beautiful and realistic bouquets. I finished this card with sequins and iridescent ink spray.

I have already had a preview of what is to come for Altenew in 2022. As for now, these are my Top 10 Crafty Favorites from the Altenew shop. Just as a review, here are my crafty favorites from this year:
