Gorgeous Monochromatic Thank You Card With a Splash of Shimmer

Hello, everyone! It’s Aga here, and today I'm sharing a simple yet elegant monochromatic “Thank You” card featuring a splash of shimmer, all thanks to Altenew's Shimmer Relief Paste. This versatile, sparkling crafting medium adds stunning shimmer, texture, and beautiful 3D effects to any project, making it the perfect addition to elevate your designs.

How to Create a Monochromatic Thank You Card With a Splash of Shimmer

I started with a sheet of white cardstock and used shades of blue from the Tranquility Fresh Dye Ink Bundle to ink some blobs and leaves from the Stencil Art: Nature Splashes Layering Stencil Set, creating a fun monochromatic background.

Next, I used the Shimmer Relief Paste – Brushed Pyrite and applied it with a palette knife to add a beautiful touch of shimmer and dimension to the design.

Once the layer of shimmer paste was dry and set, I trimmed the panel to fit the size of the card base and added some sentiments.

For the sentiments, I used Ways to Thank You 3D Embossing Folder along with Crafty Necessities: Cloudy Sky Cardstock, which coordinates perfectly with the Tranquility Fresh Dye Inks. I then cut out two strips of the embossed cardstock to create fun, textured sentiments.
