July 2022 Marvelous Monthly Series

Project Inspiration
I am so excited to be sharing project inspiration with you, using the new Craft Your Life Always Sunshine Project Kit.
I am a huge fan of these kits as they give us crafters so many possibilities. I have opted for a vintage feel for this card, but if you pop over to my blog, you will see another totally different color combination and style.
I stamped the large floral cluster onto an 80lb white cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink. I then used shades of blue and purple for the flowers. I used the following colors; Pale Mauve, Amethyst, Misty Morning, Cloudy Sky, and Nimbus. The first two layers are inked using the Simple Coloring Stencil and then the third layer is stamped. This gives such a lot of detail!
I then started to add color to the leaves and stems with Misty Moor, Sea Forest, and Mangrove Root. The center of the large flower has two stenciled layers. The first was stenciled using Butternut and the second with Misty Moor. Then I used the coordinating die to cut the image.
In the Project Kit, there is a 3D embossing folder, I used it to emboss some thick white cardstock. I then added Butternut ink through the simple coloring stencil.
I love how Altenew has added the stencil for the embossing folder too!
I cut the embossed panel to measure 4″ x 5.25″. I then added the floral die-cut piece using foam pads. I cut back any overhanging parts and added them to an A2 notecard. I stamped one of the sentiments from the kit onto a strip of white cardstock and added it to the top left of the card.
