2 Ways to Do Ink Blending on Vellum

Last Updated: June 30, 2025

Hello there everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today, I’ll be sharing a video where I show the difference between ink blending on vellum; on the top and the back.

If you want to learn how to do this technique, keep on reading!

ink blending on vellumI started by foiling the new Vibrant Blooms Hot Foil Plate onto a piece of vellum using gold foil.

I did this two times so I could see if there was any difference when ink blending with dye inks on different sides of the vellum. I then colored the images using Vibrant Blooms Simple Coloring Stencil – I inked one image on the top and the other from behind.

I used Nimbus and Dark Night Inks for the flowers, Chamomile Ink for the flower centers, and Sea Forest Inks for the leaves. Once the images were dry, I fussy cut around them.

I then added this to a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” panel of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock and adhered the fussy cut images into place. I used two stamps from the Circled Sentiments Stamp Set to add the sentiments.
