Project Inspiration

The focus of my projects today is clean and simple cards with a touch of texture. Let's get started.

The inspiration for my first card is the Enchanting Beauty Stamp & Die Bundle. First, I am using Mixed Media inks to achieve the monochromatic look of the elements. Then I added shine and texture from heat embossing the images with Translucent Pearl Crisp Embossing Powder.

The sentiments in the new stamp sets are sweet and easy to mix and match to fit your project. This card features from the Painted Rainbow Stamp Set and Blooming Tulips Stamp Set. Just a few crystals complement the card.

For my second project, I am combining the Sweet Ginkgo Simple Coloring Stencil and Sweet Ginkgo Stamp Set to create the card. First, I added a bit of color using mixed media inks. Then, I heat embossed the leaves with Platinum Crisp Embossing Powder.

A few strips of the new Sea Shore Slim Washi Tape Set provide the perfect spot for the sentiment. Sometimes, simple sentiments (Simply Spring Stamp Set) become focal points with some fussy cutting! Try it in your next project.

This is probably one of my favorite cards for this year! The detail in the new Dovetail Butterflies Stamp & Die Bundle is exquisite (and it is a layering stamp!!!). My choice to create texture and dimension for the card just adds to the ethereal look of the background. The final touch was a combined sentiment and a trail of gems.
