Project Inspiration:
I have a few projects to share with you. So let's get started.
I started by heat embossing the image on teal cardstock in Antique Gold Embossing Powder. Next, through the coordinating stencils, apply Sapphire, Azurite, and Dark Night Dye Inks. Once done, I used the coordinating dies to die cut the image. Then I altered the die-cut a little to split it into two parts.
On purple card front, I added gold paint splatters from the Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set. Then adehered the two pieces of die-cuts onto either corner with foam tape. For the sentiment, I used the Gold Glitter Cardstock and die-cut the word “hello”. To complete the look, I adhered Antique Gold Sequins.
For the card above, I used a technique I have shared previously in one of my videos. To achieve this look, all you need is a Navy Cardstock and the Greeen Fields Mixed Media Pigment Inks!
I have not yet tried it with the Red Cosmos Mixed Media Inks, but you should definitely give it a go! But this color combination looks so good in person! This card came together rather quickly. I ran the Navy Cardstock through the die-cutting mchine and then swiped the inks. Do check the video to find HOW to do this to achieve the perfect look. I added a strip of watercolored cardstock, using the same inks. And finished it off with a sentiment die-cut out of the Green Glitter Cardstock.
One of my favourites! This was going to the bin. Let's first get to how I created it. I swiped Jet Black Mixed Media Dye Ink onto the raised portions of the 3D embossing folder in the project kit. Then I placed my cardstock over it and ran it through the die-cutting machine to get a letterpress design. It looked nice, fabric kind… but was missing something. So, I cut it out and set it aside.
I used a white gel pen and with a very light/gentle hand I drew a random grid like pattern. I would have preferred a stamp but I dont't have one like this from Altenew nor do I have a good white ink. So I drew it. I think it turned out great! I added white splatters to this then adered the cut out letterpress design with foam tape. To finish, I adhered a white die-cut sentiment “hi”.
Obviously, there had to be a watercolor project :) I kept it really simple. No over coloring this time, no dramatic backgrounds. I let the stamp shine in all its glory! And I like the pretty look. Though, I positioned my sentiment a tad lower but dropped the stamp block from one end… so had to gently place it from the other end too!
I wanted the sentiment to be a tad lower. Anyway, if you would like to see how I colored this panel, please watch the video below or head over to YouTube.
I hope you liked the projects I shared with you. I had so many ideas, you guys! BUT so little time ;)
