Simple Air Dry Clay Ornaments with Pen Sketched Silhouette Stamp Set
Hello, everyone! It’s Aga here, and we're doing something a little more unique today.
I love adding a personal touch to the holidays! So, today I would like to share with you a really simple idea for handmade ornaments made from air dry clay.
How to Create Simple Air Dry Clay Ornaments with Pen Sketched Silhouette Stamp Set
I started off with my white air dry clay from a local craft shop. I rolled out a piece of clay to a desirable thickness using a rolling pin. Next, I used a cookie cutter to cut out round shapes and gently smoothed the edges with my fingers.
I let them dry for about 10 minutes and then I used a stamp from Pen Sketched Silhouette Stamp Set along with Desert Night Crisp Dye Ink to decorate my ornaments.
Before I started my project, I tried different colours of inks and some of them faded away or changed after drying, so it’s good to check how they react with a specific type of clay.
After stamping my leaves, I made a hole in the top of each ornament and left them for 24 hours to dry. Once they were dry I added a piece of paper string for a hanger.
You can use these little ornaments to decorate a Christmas tree and hang them on a branch in a vase. They can also make the perfect tag for presents, or be a handmade gift itself!
And there you have it! Simple, air dry clay ornaments decorated with the Pen Sketched Silhouette Stamp Set.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you feel inspired to get creative with your DIY decorations this holiday season. Happy holidays, everyone!
