Add Sparkle to Projects With Glitter Tape | Terrific Tags with Michelle (With Video Tutorial)
Hello there, Michelle here with another edition of Terrific Tags with Michelle. Today I am adding sparkle to projects with glitter tape. I love adding glitter to projects, but I am not a fan of loose glitter, so using glitter tape is perfect as the glitter is contained in the tape!
The Focal Point

I started off my tag by die cutting two flowers (and flower centers), as well as the leaves from the Fresh Flowers Die Set. I cut the flower petals from Crafty Necessities: Tide Blue Cardstock, the flower centers from Crafty Necessities: Vanilla Cream Cardstock, and the leaves from Crafty Necessities: Frayed Leaf Cardstock.

To add some depth to the die cuts, I added ink blending. I placed them on my Sticky Mat and added ink blending using a Mini Blending Brush. I added Deep Blue Seas Fresh Dye Inks to the petals (Tide Blue and Starlight), Golden Sunset Fresh Dye Inks (Sunray and Chamomile) to the flower centers, and Green Valley Fresh Dye Inks (Firefly and Grass Field) to the leaves. I then set them aside to dry.
Using the keyhole system, I adhered the layers of the flowers together using liquid glue and set them aside while I worked on the tag base.
Add Sparkle With Glitter Tape

For the tag, I die cut three of the larger tag die in the Terrific Tags Die Set from Classic Crest 110lb Solar White Cardstock. On one, I added a strip of Enchanting Tanzanite Glitter Tape to the left hand side.
I then cut a little strip off one of the other tags and adhered it over the top. This hides the seam between the cardstock and the glitter tape. I adhered the other tag to the back using Glue Tape.
I really love having the strip of glitter tape to the side of the tag. It adds just the perfect amount of sparkle to the project! Make sure to watch the video below where I share a few different ways that you can add glitter tape to tags or cards.
Combining the Elements

I adhered the leaves to the tag first, using liquid glue. I then adhered the flowers using Instant Dimension Foam Tape.
I stamped a sentiment from the Soft Blossoms Stamp Set onto Classic Crest 110lb Solar White Cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink and the Stampwheel. It was cut into a strip and adhered to the card with more foam tape.
I threaded twine through the top of the tag and tied in a bow. To finish, I embellished with Mother of Pearl Gem Sparkles.
