A Quick Present Using the Bejeweled Stamps
Hi everyone! It's Jocelyn on the blog today with a card set.
One of my favorite crafty presents to give is a set of cards. I thought I would share a set I made using the Bejeweled stamp set and the steps for making this quick and easy present.
I used the same basic design and beautiful Bejeweled stamp but changed the colors and sentiments for some variety.
Here are the steps:
1. Heat emboss the butterfly on vellum. I used five different colors–pastels for spring.
2. Fussy cut or die-cut the butterflies (using the Bejeweled dies).
3. Stamp sentiments from the Bejeweled set and trim. Gather the other supplies–doilies, chipboard frames, and a front card panel. I dry embossed my cardstock and added some splatter.
4. Stitch the doily to the cardstock. Layer the elements over the doily. I used clear Kool-Tak tape to add some height to the butterfly (but won't show through the vellum).
Here's the other cards in the card set. First, in aqua:
Then, in pink glitter:
And finally in butter:

When I was done, I needed to wrap the cards. I simply trimmed down a piece of vellum and wrapped it around the cards. I tied some yarn around the vellum to hold it together. Then, I layered elements that were within reach on my desk (I did say it was fast), including the gold embossed butterfly.
Thanks for stopping by!
