A Must-Try Easy Die-cutting Formula
Hello Altenew friends! It's Virginia here. I am taking a break from stamping. Yes, you read that correctly. You see, today's project is 100% die-cutting. The best thing about die-cutting is that you can assemble these die-cut pieces at your own pace. I also came up with an easy formula to put the elements together. If you are lack of design ideas, you should definitely give this formula a try!
1. Stencil a Background
Stencils are known for creating background. I inked up Silver Stone Crisp Dye Ink with the Classy Stripes Stencil for the background. This adds so much depth and interest to the overall design.
2. Use a Shape Die
Using a shape die is a great way to ground the images. I die cut a piece of Jet Black Card stock with Fine Rings: Circles Die Set. You can use other circles dies like Stitched Scalloped Circles Die or Fine Frames Circles Die to get the similar look.
3. Find the Focal Point
The Charming Foliage Die Set is…. truly charming. This set contains two gorgeous roses with four layers, a smaller rose with three layers, two leaf clusters with two layers, and a single-layer branch. I was able to diecut and assemble by following the visual guide on the package. The colored paper used for the diecutting was sprayed previously with Altenew Ink Sprays.
4. Add a Sentiment Die
The gorgeous Congrats Die Set really make this card a standout. I opted for back sentiment with white backing to coordinate the black circle die and make the design look more cohesive.
5. Embellish It
A few black splatter (Jet Black Ink Spray) and Satin White Sequins are what's needed. This card is now completed with a polished look.
