Hi, it's Therese, and I am back with another edition of Take 2 with Therese! Today, I'm sharing two beautiful cards with white die-cut flowers, using Altenew's Craft-A-Flower: Japanese Anemone Layering Die Set.
Welcome to Creativity Unlocked, where we highlight a new product from each month's collection or a fan favorite from past collections!

Have you ever tried creating WHITE die-cut flowers?
Simply die cutting white cardstock and layering petals and flower centers, it lacks something, so what can you do? Today I have 2, very different, techniques to share with you to inspire you to create some easy and beautiful white die-cut flowers. Let's get started!
Technique #1 – Blended Shadow
A quick and easy way to add some shadow and depth to a white die-cut flower is to lightly blend some black or grey ink to the centre of the petals.
To create the center of the white die-cut flowers I added the color using Artist Markers.
PRO TIP: A fast and easy way to create multiple flowers, is to die cut ALL the pieces in white cardstock and then add color after.
To create the bouquet, I used some leaves from the Just Leaves Die Set and also added a sentiment from the Build-A-Garden: Blushing Magnolias Stamp Set.
Technique #2 – Stamped Pattern
For a modern, bold design, why not try stamping a pattern onto some of the petals of the white die-cut flowers? I used the Gradient Stripes background stamp, but a dotted pattern or even a graphic style would look fabulous too.
I added a textured background using the Window Slats 3D Embossing Folder.
As well as a sweet little Cherry Blossom Enamel Dot heart.
