How to Make 2 BEAUTIFUL Magnolia Cards with Alcohol Ink and Dye Ink | Take 2 with Therese (with Video Tutorial!)

Hi, it's Therese, and I am back with another edition of Take 2 with Therese. I'm sharing how to make 2 beautiful magnolia cards with alcohol ink and dye ink!
Today's post is about creating unique flowers by using different mediums!
It's amazing how a different medium can really change the look of an image. For both of these cards, I used the beautiful Craft-A-Flower: Magnolia; the large size of this bloom really makes an impact on any card!
2 Ways to Create Beautiful Magnolia Cards
Idea # 1 – Alcohol Ink
I recently made this card HERE for a hop and was requested to share the process. It was simple to create with Alcohol Ink backgrounds made with the Artist Marker Refills. You can find detailed instructions and tips in the video linked below.
These colors are some of my favorites from Altenew, but of course, you could use any combination to suit your project.
The sentiment is from the Sweet Sentiments Die Set, which was die cut from some of the left-over alcohol-inked cardstock.
Idea # 2 – Ink Blending
Don't worry if you don't have any Alcohol Inks; I have a second version to share with you. This time, I added color using Crisp Dye Inks and Altenew's Blending Tools.
I kept the design of these magnolia cards very similar to make it easier to compare. But, I did add a subtle, textured background with the Ribbon Waves 3D Embossing Folder.
Again, the sentiment is from the Sweet Sentiments Die Set, except that I used one of the Hot Foil Plates this time.
