How to Create 2 Soft and Subtle Card Designs

Happy release day! Lydia here. Today, I'll be sharing fun ways to create soft and subtle card designs using the new Build-A-Garden Breezy Petals.

I used both of the images from the stamp set in 2 different ways. For the smaller image, I stamped this using Jet Black Ink and then used the coordinating coloring stencils to add color to the image. I used Peach Glow and Strawberry Inks for the first layer of the flower and Golden Honeycomb and Dusky Pink for the second layer. Jade and Eucalyptus Inks were used on the leaves and stem.

For the larger image, I stamped this onto vellum using Embossing Ink and then heat set using Pure White Embossing Powder. Both images were die cut using the coordinating dies.

For the background on the circle window card design, I took a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ panel of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock and cut three of the circles from Stitched Scalloped Circle from it. I then embossed this using Mod Squares 3D Embossing Folder. I added parts of the vellum image behind the die-cut windows and added ink blending on to the background (using the same colors I used for the flowers on the colored design) before adhering the window panel into place using foam tape.

For the second card design, I added a smaller embossed panel, using Mod Squares 3D Embossing Folder, to the card base. I added a vellum banner using Mini Delight Celebratory Banner Die, the larger die-cut circle (waste from the other panel) and the die-cut flower image.  I added splatter on both of the cards and a sentiment using Scripty Sentiments Die Set.
