Vintage Vibes Release Video Hop – Win Prizes & Get Inspired!

Hello everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here.  I'm so excited to be the start of the video hop. Today, we are continuing our celebrations for our Eclectic Vibes Release with our Vintage Vibes Video Hop over on our YouTube channel.

This eclectic release has something for everyone! Unique, new additions to our collection include vintage designs inspired by the 50s, 60s, and 70s, as well as a nostalgic stamp set for anyone who grew up between the 1950s and 1990s. We have also included two distinctive floral layering sets, a couple of sentiment sets, and a mini stamp set inspired by an Altenew favorite. The release is finished off with a variety of dies, stencils, five 3D embossing folders, AND a set of Mixed Media Palette Knives. What are you waiting for? Start crafting!

Check out our new stamps, dies, stencils, embossing folders, and tweezers HERE!

Project

Today, I'll be sharing 2 different looks using 3D Embossing Folders and thin paper strips. This is a great way to use up your scraps.

I started by taking Wisteria, Mountain Mist, Buttercream, and Pink Diamond Cardstock. I cut these each into four 1/4″ strips, two 1/2″ strips, and a 1″ strip. Then I adhered these randomly onto two 4 1/4″ x  5 1/2″ pieces of copy paper. Once these panels were covered, I sprayed them lightly with water. Then I embossed them using Cool Doodles and Pressed Flowers 3D Embossing Folders.

Look 1

For the panel I embossed with Cool Doodles 3D Embossing Folder, I added white pigment ink. And it was a simple as that!

Look 2

The panel embossed with Pressed Flowers 3D Embossing Folder was a little more involved. Once it was embossed, I cut the panels apart from each other. I then went over each panel with ink lightly to enhance the embossing. For the Wisteria Cardstock, I used Hydrangea Crisp Dye Ink; for the Mountain Mist Cardstock, I used Volcano Lake Crisp Dye Ink; for the Buttercream Cardstock, I used Fresh Lemon Crisp Dye Ink, and for the Pink Diamond Cardstock I used Pinkalicious Crisp Dye Ink. I then adhered these pieces into place onto a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base.

The sentiments come from Just A Number Stamp Set and were stamped using Obsidian Pigment Ink.
