Video: Sewn with Love Layout

Hello and welcome to another day on the Altenew Scrapbook blog. Today, I'll be showcasing the Sewn with Love Stamp and Die Sets and how you can use them on a layout. This was the first time I got to play around with the set and I did mess it up a little bit but I cheated a little bit.

First, I stamped my bottom images. I had to create a mask for part of the layout. I could have done it a little more precisely. I used the die to create a mask. I took a thin piece of scrap paper and ran it through the die cut machine. Then, with my scissors, I cut around the image left by the perforated holes. I could have cut it out a little more precisely but I didn't want to start all over again as the stamping took really long.

I would advise you to play around a little with the stamp to get the layering right. It is easy but as it was my first time using the stamp, I had to fiddle a bit. I love the effect of the cross stitch. Next time I will use the die first.

As I was really trying hard to get everything right, I wasn't paying a lot of attention to the ink and I got some ink smudges on the layout. I used some buttons to cover those up.
