Shaker Tags with Different Altenew Stamp Sets
Create some fun shaker tags with the Garden Silhouette Stamp Set, the Hug Me Stamp Set, and the Watercolor Dots Stamp Set. You can use patterned paper from the Our Family Scrapbook Kit. And you can add confetti and sequins to make your tags more interesting.
Shaker Tags
Handmade tags are a wonderful addition to any gift. And stamps are a nice way to customize your tags for different occasions; to say "Thank You", to welcome a newborn baby, or to show appreciation. I created three tags today. Here is what you will need to make your own tag.
- patterned paper
- adhesive foam pads or foam crafter sheets
- liquid glue
- acetate sheets
- a tag die (as an alternative you can cut your own tags with scissors and a cutter knife + a ruler and a pen)
- ribbon
- sequins and confetti
How to make a shaker tag
First, cut two paper tags and a tag from the acetate sheet. One of the paper tags will serve as the base. The second paper tag will be used as the top layer. On the top layer tag, use a ruler and a pen and measure about 1 cm from the edge. Next, use a cutter knife to cut a window. Second, cut the foam sheet. This will work as a spacer and turn your tag into a shaker tag. Third, stamp your images onto white cardstock. Finally, you're ready to assemble the tag. The layers from bottom to top are as follows:
- (patterned) paper tag
- foam sheet
- sequins, confetti, and stamped images
- acetate sheet
- second paper tag
You can also add stamped images onto the top layer. That way you can have images on the inside AND on the outside of the tag.
To finish your tag, add a ribbon at the top.
