Rainbow Flowers Layout
Hello, Altenew fans!
Enza here, and today I'm sharing a layout that combines several stamp sets: Lotus, Painted Butterflies, and Beautiful Heart.
The inspiration here came from a photo found on Pinterest; it was a beautiful display of colorful flowers grouped by color. I thought it would be fun to recreate it on paper with the gorgeous Altenew Stamp Sets and Crisp Dye Inks.
Let's see how it came together!
The first thing I did was prepare my background by spritzing Altenew's Metallic Shimmer Ink Spray in Ocean Waves all over the bottom portion of a 12x12 smooth white cardstock. While this was drying, I started stamping the lotus flowers and stems. My goal here was to vary the colors of the flowers slightly, so to keep an ombre look.
I used the following Crisp Dye Inks:
- red flowers: Crimson, Velvet.
- coral flowers: Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss.
- pink flowers: Rose Quartz, Razzleberry.
- yellow flowers: Fresh Lemon, Warm Sunshine
- stems and leaves: Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Evergreen.
Once everything was ready, I adhered it down with foam adhesive for dimension, overlapping the images for a more realistic look.
For the photo, I just layered some patterned paper from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection behind it and added a tag with yellow ribbon to bring in more of that same color on the opposite side of the page. The sentiment came from the Beautiful Heart Stamp Set and was heat-embossed with Altenew's Translucent Pearl Crisp Embossing Powder.
I cut the title with the Mega You Die several times, out of the same patterned papers I used behind the photo, trying to match the colors to the flowers. I then slightly offset the die cuts before adhering them down to showcase the beautiful range of different shades.
To finish off the layout, I stamped just the outline of the Painted Butterflies with Permanent Black Ink directly onto the page.
