Paper Highlight: 6x6 Paper Packs
This is probably one of my favorite posts. I was so excited to get the new 6x6 paper packs. When I started scrapbooking, I was always on the look for pretty papers and it is still my favorite product.
I created three projects with the Paper Packs and combined papers from the Summer Garden, Alluring Blooms, Essential Rock Collection, and Sweet Moments 6x6 Paper Packs.
TECHNIQUE IDEA 1: FUSSY CUTTING
My first project was a layout. I fussy cut a lot of flowers and created layers with papers beneath.
A couple of butterflies cut out of some woodgrain paper from the Essential Rock Collection 6x6 Paper Pack added flow and detail.
TECHNIQUE IDEA 2: DIE CUTTING
My two other projects are cards. On both, I used die cutting techniques. The first one uses the Fantasy Floral 3D Die Set. I cut out the shapes from different gray shades of paper and created a couple of flowers.
I popped the flowers on a dark paper from the Sweet Moments 6x6 Paper Pack and added a pop of color with the cut-out leaves.
My last card also uses a die - a word die - from the Script Words 2 Die Set. I cut the word out of a gray ombre paper and added a bright paper from the Alluring Blooms 6x6 Paper Pack beneath. The combination on a black background makes the colors really pop.
