Layout with Botanical Garden Stamp Set

Hello, Altenew fans!

Enza here, and today I'm sharing a new layout featuring the Botanical Garden Stamp Set.

What I love about this set is the variety of the images and their delicate look; plus each piece can be die cut with the coordinating dies, which is always so convenient, especially given the intricacy of the shapes.

How to:

I started by stamping most of the flowers on smooth white cardstock using Altenew’s Permanent Black Crisp Ink since I knew that I wanted to use Artist Markers as well as watercolors on them. I went with shades of blue, purple and red/coral. With the exception of the purple flowers, for which I used watercolors, the other images were colored with Artist Markers Set A:

• red flowers: Coral Berry, Crimson, Ruby Red
• blue flowers: Sea Glass, Dusk, Ocean Waves
• leaves and stems: Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Evergreen

To accentuate the delicate look of the flowers, I opted for a light pink cardstock as my background. I stamped a few stems directly onto the paper and arranged the die-cuts on top of them, sort of in a circular shape, making sure to alternate the colors.

After foam mounting my picture, I adhered it in the center. I decided not to add any patterned paper behind it, as I didn't want to add more color or distract from the gorgeous flowers.

For the title, I blended Peach Perfect and Heart Beat Crisp Dye Inks onto white cardstock to obtain an ombre look. Then, I die cut the word “Love” from the Script Words Die Set and “You” from the Just for You Die Set.

I also stamped some sentiments from the Extra Special Stamp Set and arranged them around the photo. I chose white cardstock to make them pop more.

To finish the layout, I adhered some butterflies from the same Botanical Garden Stamp Set and enamel dots in coordinating colors.
