February 2020 Guest Designer: Nikki Kehr

We are over the moon to introduce our second guest designer for this month! Nikki Kehr is a truly creative and talented scrapbooker (and teacher!) and we absolutely love her work! Get to know Nikki!
I am Nikki, a German scrapbooker who loves baking and books! I'm a civil engineer, who is in love with memory keeping and loves to have a lot of fun in life. My family and friends are my inspiration and their radiant faces, when they look at my albums and scrapbook pages, make me happy. Project Life started my scrapbook life in early 2013.
Since then, I also discovered layouts, mini albums, gift wrapping, and cards. In 2014, my blog “Nimena” was born, where I showed my projects, ideas, and instructions. I love to share my projects on Instagram and on my YouTube Channel.
Quick and Easy Scrapbook Page
I was really looking forward to my guest designer post here at Altenew. I immediately fell in love with the Blooming Spring Creativity Kit and knew that I would like to create a scrapbook layout.
"Spring Love" Scrapbook Layout
My focus for this layout was on the big Spring Meadow Cover Die. I used this as a background and distributed individual elements of the die as highlights on the layout.
With selected papers from the Blushing Blooms 6x6 Paper Pack, I further expanded the background and integrated an eye-catcher on the opposite side.
For further highlights, I cut out a few flowers from the papers.
With a few finishing touches, the layout is complemented and finished with a small title.
