Creating Memory Keeping Layouts with Wildflower Collection ( + video tutorial)
Hello there!
Today, I want to share a new idea for creating memory keeping layouts with the new Wildflower collection. We are loving the new paper collection. It has a vibrant color palette and modern designs which is perfect for all sorts of crafting projects.
I love patterned paper for my memory keeping. So, today I want to show you how to create a frame design for your page using the collection.

Building the frame
Since I am creating a large format layout (12x12in), I have to reimagine the frame design of the page in pieces. The Floral In 'N Out Border Die is going to help create the delicate edge of the frame. The key is to deconstruct the frame by creating die cut strips of paper that together form a frame. I am mixing papers from the new Wildflower paper collection with a small piece of paper from the Enjoy the Ride collection for the frame. The soft tones of blush help to create a soft transition at the edges of the strips, thus giving the illusion of a complete frame.
2. Adding Color
All the detail frame work brings a lot of interest to the page. All we need is a bit of color to make the picture/s pop from the page. For this page, I am adding a soft shadow effect on the background by blending inks, and adding a soft shadow impression ( Leaf Bed Stencil). The soft color application adds a color shadow that brings interest to the pictures.
3. Add a Title
In order to create repetition on the page, I am using the flag banner in the Wildflower Collection Bitty Bits Ephemera pack as inspiration for the title. I am using the Essential Sentiments Strip Die set and Rose Petal Gradient Cardstock set to create the phrase strip. Then, I am combining it with a contrasting alpha font in the title work.
