Die Highlight: Zodiac Constellation
Hello, everyone, it's Zinia here and today I'd like to share with you a few projects I created using the brand new Zodiac Constellation Dies from our January 2019 release.
I'm really crazy about these dies as they can work on so many different types of projects. Specifically, the larger piece that comes in each set is perfect for 12x12 layouts.
So for my first project, I used various constellations to create a mixed media background. I cut out the shapes from white, deep iris, and lavender fields cardstocks. Before I stuck the constellation pieces on the page, I covered my background with splatters using various Altenew Ink Sprays.
This creates such an eye-catching design that all you need to add is a photo and a title, and your layout is ready!
In addition to my scrapbook layout, I created two cards to show you how beautifully these dies work together with other Altenew products. On this card, I paired it with the gorgeous Galaxy Washi Tape to create a super simple card. I also used a couple of wooden embellishments to complement the design
My last card is using the smaller die pieces that come with each set. These pieces will cut out stars and emboss the connecting lines on the card. I used a piece of watercolor cardstock and I colored it with Altenew's Watercolor Brush Markers.
Once the piece was dry, I die cut the constellation die and used some of the leftover stars as additional embellishments.
To finish the card, I created a cluster of layered flowers and added my sentiment on top of it.
