Coloring Outside the Lines
Hello everyone! It's Zinia here and today's project is all about coloring outside the lines.
The first step was to stamp the large image from the Sketchy Floral Stamp Set twice on my page. This is a really beautiful floral arrangement and it's big enough that it can fill the whole layout just by stamping it twice.
Then it's time for coloring. I used the Spring Garden Watercolor Brush Markers Set, and more specifically Rubellite, Autumn Blaze, Warm Sunshine, Limeade and Moss.
I scribbled my markers on a palette so I can easily dilute the colors. Using a medium Altenew water brush, I picked the color and started coloring in the images making sure I don't stay inside the lines. I know that some of you are freaking out in the thought of adding color outside the lines but trust me, you need to give it a go. It's a really fun and relaxing process and on top of that, the result is still absolutely beautiful. Don't worry about applying the color perfectly or avoiding colors from bleeding to each other, let the water flow and do its thing.
Once the first layer was dry, I added a few more loose strokes of color just to define some shapes but I still ignored the strict boundaries of the line art. When the whole page was dry, I started adding some more details and embellishments.
I added a few white ink splatters with my favorite Pure White Ink Spray. I also added a few small enamel dots in shades of yellow.
The next step was to add my title so I die cut the word "hooray" from the Script Words 3 Die Set using my Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine and black cardstock. Then, to finish off the page, I just added my photo and journaling.
