Once I figured out which leaf layer went with which, it was smooth sailing without the learning curve of some of the Altenew florals. Because they have packed a LOT of images into this set, only the base layer of the large leaf cluster is connected. The next two layers are in 4 pieces each. And they aren't necessarily grouped in proximity to each other on the carrier sheet. It took a little bit of time for these old eyes to sort out all the tiny little leaf veins and shadows the first time. But I love the image. It's a great scale for smaller cards, useful for multiple occasions, and I love that there are additional separate leaves that can be used to fill in or even to use with other stamp sets. I actually color coded the back side of the carrier sheet with alcohol markers so that it is easier to identify the coordinating layers. But, as always, the result is a beautifully shaded floral that far surpasses most stamped images in detail and depth. As a time saver, I think I will stamp the leaf images directly on the card, then stamp the flowers separately to be die cut and then attached to the leaf layer.
