Is there a sweeter flower than a Pansy? I really appreciate the Layering Guide, assembly video, and designer examples on the product page. These, plus the key-hole system, make assembly a breeze. (Thank you so much, Altenew, for providing such resources!) The dies are etched, giving a nice texture to both petals and leaves. I've decided, though, that while a piece created just using colored cardstock is pretty enough, this is a floral which cries out for inking in order to come alive. I'm not gifted in that area, but am heeding the advice of fellow reviewer, Kitty. She's right: when I follow the veining etched into the dies with my brushes, I begin to see what could become a piece of art. Could I hug her? For sure. Lots more practice needed (laughter), but I'm having fun in the process.
