Stamp Focus- Best Mom

Hi there, it's Lydia here with you today with a Stamp focus on one of the new release sets ‘Best Mom‘.

I am just loving this new set as there are lots of ways to use this set and the sentiments are so fun, I especially like that there is a ‘Mum' for those of us that use ‘Mum' instead of ‘Mom'.

For my first card I did a bit of no-line watercolour…

I stamped the floral sprig from the set using Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink on the leaves and Picked Raspberry on the flowers and buds onto some watercolour card. I then used a wet paint brush to move the ink around, so softening the edges. To make darker shadows I added in some more of the inks to get the look I was after.

To finish I added a sentiment strip using one of the sentiments from the set.

For my second card I used the sprig for a background accent…

I first stamped my sentiment using Modern Deco Alpha and Thinking Of You stamp sets onto some Navy Cardstock using VersaMark and then embossed in Gold. I then stamped the floral sprig from the set a number of times in gold ink around the top edges of my card.

To finish I added a couple of gold splatters.

For my third card I did some colouring using Copics and pencils…

This time I stamped the sprig onto some Spicy Yogurt Cardstock in very light ink- I used Frosty Pink but any light ink you have would work. I then coloured the image using Copic markers and then went over this with coloured pencils to add more detail and shade.

For the sentiment I used Thinking Of You.
