Project

Today, I'll be sharing a technique to create a beautiful peek through card front. I'll be using the very pretty Bitterroot Flower Simple Layering Stencil Set.

I started by creating 3 flower clusters using Bitterroot Flower Simple Layering Stencil. For the flowers, I used Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Rubellite, Razzleberry, and Cosmic Berry Crips Dye Inks for the flowers, Cloudy Night Crisp Dye Ink for the flower centers, and Marshland and Sea Forest Crisp Dye Inks for the leaves and stem. Once the images were complete, I cut them using the coordinating dies. I arranged the images to fill the front of a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base and added a piece of Press N' Seal over them to keep the images together. I was then able to flip the piece over and add adhesive to the back of the die-cuts.

For the card base, I took a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base and trimmed around 3 3/3″ inches from the front to leave a little flap. I then adhered the top of the flower panel to the flap. I added white die-cuts created using the same die to the backs of the die-cut images. For the sentiment, I used Carpe Diem Stamp Set. The sentiment was stamped onto Jet Black Cardstock and heat embossed using Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder.
