Ink sprays are precisely what their name suggests - ink that comes in a spray bottle! Ink sprays come in a variety of colors and can be used to create interesting effects on your pages. These inks are applied using a special nozzle that allows you to control the amount of ink released. This feature makes it easy to add colors to your projects in large and small areas. They are a fun way to add color and interest to projects and are also very easy to use. Just spray away!
In scrapbooking, ink sprays add texture to backgrounds and are great for adding highlights and accents to your pages. If you want to learn how to use ink sprays for scrapbooking, here are some following project ideas to get you inspired:
Watercolor Scrapbook Layouts With Ink Sprays
Ink sprays are a great way to spruce up watercolor-themed scrapbook pages. Did you know you can also color your embossing paste with ink sprays? If you want to add something extra to your scrapbook pages, you should try embossing paste and coloring them with ink sprays! Embossing paste is perfect for creating texture and dimension in your designs. Plus, it's straightforward to use - all you need is a bit of embossing paste, ink sprays in your favorite colors, and a stencil. Here's how to get started:
- First, choose the stencil that you want to use. There are tons of different designs available, so take your time and select one that fits the theme of your page.
- Next, color the embossing paste with ink sprays. You can choose to mix different colors or use a single color. Spray some ink and mix the paste.
- Apply the embossing paste to the stencil with a palette knife. Make sure to smooth out the paste so that it covers the entire stencil design.
- Once the paste is applied, gently remove the stencil. You can heat-set it and dry it with a heat gun or leave to dry naturally, then voila! You should now have a beautiful embossed design on your page.
- After the embossing paste becomes dry, you can now add your photos, receipts, embellishments, or anything else you'd like on the page.
Give embossing paste a try and see how much fun it is to add dimension and texture to your scrapbook pages.

How do you make handmade cards look professional?
Hello, Marsha! Thank you for your feedback. We are always looking for ways to improve our products, and we are glad to hear your suggestion. In the meantime, you can try spraying off the panel, as explained in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnJx7c_kU44
You can also try spraying further, such as 6-8 inches away from your panel. As most ink sprays produce big blobs, the best we can do is control the amount with our spraying distance. Have a great day!
But how do you control how much spray comes out?! I’m getting big blobs when I spray. It seems the nozzle needs to be engineered to produce a finer spray. I can always add more, but can’t remove it if it’s too much. 🫤
