Altenew Quiet Reflections Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Inks/Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there, and a very happy Friday to you! Lydia here. I'm so happy to be with you for the first stop on our release blog hop.
The end of the year is the perfect time for quiet reflections. Did you accomplish what you set out to do? Are you a better person today than you were a year ago? If you did not reach your goals, how can you improve next year? This release centers around peace, serenity, and tranquility to aid you in your journey of self-reflection. Beautiful floral images and nature scenes are paired with inspiring sentiments and quotes. Versatile embossing folders, washi tapes, and decals finish off the release. Here's to another crafty year ahead!

Today, I'll be sharing a card using some of my favorite products from the release.
I started by stamping the outline from Tranquility Rose Stamp Set onto a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ panel of white cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink. I then used the coordinating Simple Coloring Stencil to add in the layers. For this, I used Canyon Clay, Burnt Red, and Mahogany Back Inks. I then added Embossing Ink over the rose and heat set using Crystal Clear Embossing Powder. Once the roses were done, I stamped some leaves into place again using Obsidian Pigment Ink. To color them, I used the Simple Coloring Stencil and Marshland, Sea Forest, and Mangrove Root Inks before adding a layer of Crystal Clear Embossing Powder over the top.
Once the images were complete, I then added Arctic Mountain Ink into the white spaces. I also added a little texture by stamping the strip from Dots and Blocks Stamp Set using the same ink. In order to avoid covering up much of the background, I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of vellum and heat set using Pure White Embossing Powder.
I just love how this card came together. And that fabulous shine makes the background look like a glazed piece of pottery.
