White On Navy

Hi there and happy Valentine's Day! It's Lydia here with you today with not necessarily a Valentine's card but it could work as one.

I stamped the outline layer of the large peony from Beautiful Day in white pigment ink onto some navy card, and masked this off before stamping the outline stamps of the leaves and blossom. I dried these off quickly using a heat-tool and coloured using a white coloured pencil. I added the white colour where I felt the shadows would be darkest.

I then cut around the bottom of the floral arrangement so I cut pop this up on the card, before adding this onto a card base of the same colour I thought it need more of a definite edge so I added the same white pigment ink under where the stamped image would fit and then blended it out a little further than the edge.

I stamped and white heat embossed a sentiment from the same set to finish off the card.
