China Blue
Hello everyone and happy 2nd of the year! It's Lydia here and I'm so excited to be here with you on the Altenew blog. Today I'm sharing with you a clean and simple card using a smaller image from a set and making it my focal point.
When I first saw the little blossom branch from Beautiful Day it reminded me of those blue and white little china teacups, I don't know why but it does, so I decided to run with this as my inspiration for a card. I stamped five of the blossom branch using Desert Night Crisp Ink, added a bit of colour to the blossom with a navy coloured pencil and then fussy cut them out. I added these behind a die cut circle cut from white card onto which I have stamped the greeting ‘Nothing Like A Mother's Love' from Wild Hibiscus, I added some the blossoms ontop of the circle to create more interest and focus the eye into the sentiment.
To add a little more interest I stamped the blossom branch repeatedly down the right hand side of my card blank in Dusk Crisp Ink before adding on a white card layer and then my focal sentiment piece.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a beautiful day!
Lydia.
