Simple and Quick Triangle background for a Scrapbook Layout
Hey Altenew Fans! It's just five more nights until the great Christmas Eve - I'm so excited! Tree is up already, gift wrapped and menu is planned. But between Christmas preparations, I took a little time for myself and scrapped about this year's pre-Christmas party. Every year with my friends we gather up to celebrate the upcoming Christmas time in some time in November and this year it was with whole families. Friends, children, big bunch of people having fun, eating well and giving light to each other's life here in the darkest place on earth. Much appreciated, and very much waited event.
As I had quite a rush going on and just a moment for my sweet crafts, I decided to create the simplest background ever. By using my electric cutting machine, I simply drew some triangles in several sizes, cut them out and the same was repeated with the title. A simple font, simple title, a thick line below and cut.
This way I had all my elements ready to go, and all I was left to do to add the pieces to the layout.
To make the triangles pop up more, I took the first ink and stencil I had in my drawer, added some through with sponge and then started adhering the triangles with 3D foam. Without highlighting the triangles by using the 3D foam, the result would have been more lame, so please never underestimate the power of dimension.
Another great trick with dimension is to ink the edges of the title, like I did here using a black marker. Sponge and ink will do as well, but much easier to get to all those small corners with a marker.
Once all was glued up, I flicked mist drops all over and was very satisfied by myself: Just under one hour with my crafts and my inner batteries was already reloaded to continue the Christmas preps. And I had a moment to dig into the memories of a great night out!
