Layout with Washi Tape Background
Hello there, crafty friends! Enza here with you to share a new layout featuring some amazing Altenew products.
Creating different and unique backgrounds is always a fun challenge for me. Let's say that if I don't use patterned paper as my base, I try to come up with other options until I find what best fits the idea I have in mind. One of the products I love to use is washi tape, and Altenew has some pretty, colorful ones that allow for fun combinations.
Here is how it came together!
I started with white textured cardstock, to which I adhered three strips of Red Ombre Washi Tape. I went with a horizontal design, adding one strip to the top and two to the bottom. Since I haven't had any luck finding an adhesive that permanently sticks to washi tape, I decided to leave a blank area in the middle of the page to glue my cluster onto.
Next, I cut a circular floral cut file to use as the bottom layer – I love the texture it adds! I stamped daisies from the Get Well Soon Stamp Set and colored them using Altenew's Watercolor 36 Pan Set.
Once those were ready, I matted my photo with patterned paper from the Pastel Dreams 6x6 Paper Pack; I also wrapped some natural colored twine around it. I arranged the daisies around the photo, adhering them down with foam dots for dimension, and then I added two sentiments from the Reason to Smile Stamp Set to the right side.
To fill in the empty spaces between the flowers, I die cut leaves from the Garden Picks 3D Die Set and tucked them under the cluster. I used white cardstock, as it adds an extra layer but doesn't distract from the colorful stamped images.
