Bold Background and The Details

For today's scrapbook layout I used the patterend paper with the black stripes from the Our Family Scrapbook Collection for the background. I cut five square shapes from the background paper with my scissors. Then I backed the paper with a second patterned paper from the kit. Next, I glued down the cut-outs onto the background paper with foam pads and placed them a bit offset onto the layout. That way you can still see parts of the five square cut-outs underneath on the background. Furthermore, I added the photo and some of the lovely floral and wood veneer embellishments from the Our Family Kit.

In addition to placing some of the green triangle stickers, two of the water-colored journaling cards and some enamel stickers from the kit, I attached some white sewing thread underneath the photo as an interesting detail.

The beautiful water-colored floral stickers from the kit are a perfect match to the photo I used on the scrapbook layout. I attached the stickers with foam pads onto the background for more dimension.

In a final step, I placed some handwritten journaling with a black pen in the lower right corner of the scrapbook page.
