This was the first time I took an Altenew Craft Day online course, and I truly was not disappointed. I am pleased with the products I received to work with throughout the day. There were 5 different projects instructed by 3 different instructors. The first instructor, Colleen, was very good and I was able to complete both cards right along with her. The second instructor, Teresa, was a bit disappointing for me and I finally just gave up trying to keep up with her. I am certain I will make the 2 projects she presented on my own time, but I did not like that we had to do coloring and die cutting beforehand as this was advertised that beginners could do this. The beginner who was with me and also bought the class bundle was not able to keep up because of the pre-class requirements. We didn't always know what color ink she was using either. Jaycee is the best, with clear instruction and a perfect pace. We knew exactly what he was doing at every step. Having said all that, I will certainly do a mini-class again. I don't think I could keep up the pace with a longer class.
This was a terrific experience. I learned a lot, I enjoyed the interactions among the presenters, the hosts and the participants, and I felt very supported as a crafter. There was no stress - we were all supported in working at our own pace, doing what works for us, and taking advantage of the resources (the crafting resources and the people) as needed. I appreciated the half hour in-between sessions since it does get a little much after an hour and a half and it was good to have some down time. I really recommend this type of experience. I am an experienced rubber stamper and card maker and I felt that the lessons were geared so that everyone, no matter their experience or skill level, could enjoy them and learn. Thank you Altenew!
