Our mixed media ink can be used on lots of porous surfaces, such as paper, fabric, wood, and more! This pigment ink is water-based and will leave a gorgeous detailed impression every time.

Best of all, you don't have to worry about the ink fading. It becomes permanent once heat set with a heat gun or iron (on fabric, add an additional cloth layer between the iron and your project.) This ink is acid-free and archival, which means your projects will remain intact and well-preserved for a long, long time!

Nice ink

This is a good shade to use on non-white surfaces. I like the rich color.

barely any ink/faded/not usable

Let me say that I love love love Altenew. Their service and quality generally goes beyond my expectations. I'm having problems, however with some pigment ink that I purchased. I've used pigment ink before and use their Obsidian one daily. Comes out superb and it's very satisfying to use. But then I bought Ruby Red, Grapevine, and Sapphire with high hopes. The grapevine one, and it was extremely pale contacted the company and I immediately sent me another, which had the same problem. Then I tried the ruby red, and they are very faded too. I had a little more color to it, but still just didn't come out right. The picture below shows what I mean. The sapphire to get smudged I think you can see how faded it still is. I have a feeling I just seem to be getting a bad batch. I gave it 2 stars instead of one because Altenew does have great service
