This review applies to all of the grey-blues in the Altenew palette. I love that Altenew's ink is created with an eye to blended, layered stamping. That is a huge advantage. In addition, I personally think their color palette is more sophisticated than some brands. The colors look as they were blended from a painter's palette, not straight from a crayon box. I have been looking for a nice grey-blue for awhile and was very happy to see this release. The one negative is that this grey blue progression gets very dark very quickly. Misty Morning is the lightest ink in the Tranquility series, and I wish it was a bit lighter.
The main downside is the case. I have stiff, arthritic hands and have a hard time removing the top of Altenew cases. That means they fit tight, which is great, but there isn't quite enough depth to to easily grab hold of the top. The curved sides with the small indentations are also difficult to label, and since I store my inks in a drawer on their sides this is important to me. This one feature keeps them from being my go-to inks (and removes one star), but the ink quality is consistently high.
