Vibrant Colors

I have not used them yet, but look forward to using them soon. I love all the vibrant colors; I can't stop looking at them!

Great Inks

I’ve purchased a few different ink brands and the Altenew inks are my favorite. The ink performs well on a variety of card stock for a nice crisp image, the colors are vibrant and layer beautifully. Also really appreciate the sets with the color card/guides. I keep those handy to eliminate guess work for which colors blend well together.

A nice addition

While most of these colors are a welcome addition to the Altenew line of inks, there is beginning to be overlap between colors. Highlights of the this set include the blues and oranges. The Lapis Lazuli is a solid progression of blue with a hint of grey. Altenew still does not have a true clear blue color progression. The Golden Sunset progression of yellow to orange is stunning, fitting nicely between their "Warm and Cozy" and "Summer Afternoon" progressions. This set of four also plays well with the "Pocketful of Sunshine" progression. Less enthusiastic about the "Spring Bouquet;" while the greens do fit between "Tropical Forest" and "Green Valley," the Fresh Leaf color seems to be the only true original. The Limeade has a touch more yellow than "Bamboo" while the "Lime" is slightly more green than "Parrot." I find that I am using the Spring Bouquet greens intermixed with the "Tropical Forest" greens. The pinks in "Spring Bouquet" represent the 4th progression of Altenew Pinks and I am unclear what color wheel "hole" they were attempting to fill. To my eye, this progression fits between "Rose Petal" and "Cherry Blossom." I have used it interchangeably with both starting the Spring Bouquet's "Baby Pink" as the 2nd color when layering with the other pink progressions. In summary, the Lapis Lazuli and Golden Sunset are new and unique while the Spring Bouquet seems to be overlapping with prior color progressions.
