Altenew’s ink pads are grouped together by a color family to make it easier and faster to come up with a color scheme for your projects. The inks are dye based that easily interacts with with water for a water color look. Make a water color palette by taking the ink pad and smear it on a craft mat and spray water. By using a white craft mat or a white laminated paper, the true and vibrant colors can be seen better than using the regular kraft color craft mat. To give your product a near water resistance feel, add Tim Holtz’s glaze or a decoupage over the finish product. The ink blends well with pigment ink by starting with the pigment ink first and then the dye ink. Pigment stays wet longer which gives you time to work in the dye ink. Combining the pigment and dye together works great when you are creating scenic backgrounds. If you need a fast ink that does not take long to dry, then Altenew’s inks are a great choice.
