I found my grandfather's gardens magical when I was a child, and as Gladioli were his favorites, I really wanted this set. I held off purchasing because I'm not skilled at ink blending and really worried the created flowers couldn't be shown to their best advantage without (just look at the gorgeous design team card examples on the product page!) Happily, I found a blog entry by Erica Andersson ( https://altenew.com/blogs/paper-crafting-inspiration-and-tips/so-much-texture-and-details-lets-take-your-design-up-a-notch-or-two-tremendous-textures-with-erica ) using colored cardstock only, which completely put my fears to rest. Her accompanying video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0g5ObdvFwuM ) was a huge help in showing how to assemble all the pieces. With her help, and also using the Layering Guide found on the product page, I've created beautifully realistic flowers which've brought smiles and memories to all the grandchildren. These are a great size and I love the detail on each petal. They make a lovely card.

I really only ordered this set because it was my mom's favorite flower. Took one look at all the dies and got put off on trying it, looked way to complicated. Decided to try and was pleasantly surprised on how it went together fairly easily. Would really appreciate a tutorial on it but so far I can live with the results. I am sure that if mom were still with us she would have been pleased to get a card made with this set of dies.

This was my grandmother's and my favorite flower so it was a must have. This die cut like butter and putting it together was simple . Once colored it looked so real. Thanks again Altnew for another beautiful Die set!
