The Shimmer Relief Paste works wonderfully on raw, unprocessed surfaces like cardstock, wood, and mixed media canvas. It’s also great for layering on stencils for dazzling 3D effects.

While you can mix the same paste, we don't recommend mixing different media into it.

Yes! You need a palette knife to apply the paste. You may also use a wallpaper squeegee or an old credit card or ID card.

Wonderful relief pastes

I have several other pastes in my crafting arsenal but I really like these. The different metallic patinas are wonderful. They give a great, aged, metallic look. They dry relatively quickly and flexibly. The pastes did not bubble when I applied a heat tool. The jars have very generous portions. Looking forward to using this more.

WOW — a real new product!

I was thrilled to dabble and play with these new Shimmer Relief Pastes! They really ARE a new product and are a delight to work with. I have been spreading the paste over an embossing folder and leaving to dry for a long while before “peeling” off the result — and the result is gorgeous and unlike other results seen before with similar techniques. So great to have something really different to work with — thank you Altenew!!!!

So much fun!

I ordered them all. I swatched them all. And then I started to play! So much fun. I mostly used my finger to apply. Very soft, applies smoothly and shimmers like crazy!
