I love that this beautiful little lantern includes so many details and even has a die for the candle and flame! It's easy to assemble with the keyhole system, too!
If ever there was a set created for those who love to travel, this is it! It's endlessly customizable, from color to style to hardware, which absolutely thrills me. (laughter) Some people's therapy is fussy cutting, mine is fiddly die pieces. So yes, I do recommend a pick-up stick and tweezers, but the outcome is worth every tiny step! The Layering Guide and Key-Hole System will guide you throughout. Bonus: It's a good set not just for those going on long trips, but for those celebrating a graduation, new home, girl's trip, or weekend getaway. (Literally, I'm getting lots of "mileage" out of this purchase!)
I'm from the Adirondacks, so this die set was a must have for me. The Layering Guide and Key-Hole system make it quite easy to put together, creating a realistic scene with minimal fiddly bits. The set absolutely shines with autumn and winter nighttime sceens (the time of year I purchased it). I'm delighted to report, however, that it's equally as lovely when used to create daytime spring and summer scenes--I've had fun transforming the firepit into a planter full of mini flowers and vines, and've even filled it with water!
