I am just loving this stamp set! It’s so versatile for backgrounds. I found overlapping some of the shapes, with different colors gives an even more realistic effect, but I always leave some white spots from the card front itself peeking through. Even though I do watercolors, I find this set gives a different and really interesting result, and it’s one that I absolutely love. I usually purchase Altenew’s gorgeous florals, so I’m really glad that I tried this. I will usually put an outline floral on top of it, and it’s really pretty. So, don’t just think it’s for “abstract” art, as this works beautifully for floral cards. I’ve tried it with pigment inks and distress inks, in areas, for different textures and opacity; but I still prefer using Altenew inks for their clear, yet soft look. I know this review is already rather long, but it’s worth mentioning that this is an “all year” set that’s great for both masculine and feminine cards, which makes for a good staple in one’s stash. All’s one needs to do is change out colors and what you choose to use as a focal image, or use these stamps as your focal image.
